17 people in attendance Molly shared information on our tour of the Nebraska Humane Society, February 22nd. A tour of the facility and a meeting with Judi and Steve Olsen took place. They encouraged us to continue in our endeavor. How we want to progress was discussed. It was discussed that our work with the Capitol Humane Society must begin with the grass roots. We need to get to the volunteers, then work up through employees, board, and director. Volunteers are the heart and sole of the organization. LAA needs to get publicity. It was reported that information about our meeting times has gone to several radio stations, television and newspapers. We need to continue letters and meetings with city leaders. Fund raiser May 2nd, Prime Country Winery, between Lincoln and Crete, 10 am-6 pm Flyers were handed out at the Home and Garden show. 18 vendors are signed up and more need to be checked on. The goal is to get 50 vendors. It was decided the cost will be $40 for non profit groups and $75 E-mail questions and donations to thechichandbags@gmail.com for Sherry. |
